A Week of Changes

This week my little one started at nursery. It's difficult to believe that she is already three and ready for such a big step but I think I was more nervous than she was! She had fallen over the previous day so had a horrid scab under her nose but she was very brave at A+E while they checked it wasn't broken. When she turned up at nursery she did look a bit like a little street urchin ( or 'back street diddler' as my mum would say!). So after I dropped her off I went for a very quiet coffee, no one asking for the froth from the cappuccino or asking for a toasted was all quite perculiar!

Another change this week is that I am now supplying a wonderful vintage shop in Tetbury called 'Qetty Bang Bang'. I had spoken with the owner Kerry several times and knew it would be a lovely place but nothing quite prepared me for the real shop! This has to be the most beautiful and stylish shop I have been in ( and thats saying alot as I've been in plenty!!) The interior and the way items are displayed is so clever. I did take a few photos but they're not wonderful and Kerry has promised she will send me some more but if you are ever passing Tetbury (or even if you're not!) it really is worth a visit.

Have a great week.

  1. Hello Clare
It must seem very strange for you not having your little shadow with you every day.. and I know what you mean about the Capuccino froth.. remember those days well.
I ventured into Qetty Bang Bang some weeks ago and thought what a beautiful shop it was.. will definitely return on our next jaunt to Tetbury and will look out for your beautiful hats.
    Michele xx

  2. hi Clare
Oops that looks painful, I expect that it was forgotten about when she got through the gate!
I am taking my angel to Hampshire tomorrow, he's excited Im sad!
Your hats look fantastic, why is it that everyone else can come up with great business/blog names when I can't?!

    See you soon......

  3. Oh what a lovely shop.
Love your hats, they are beautiful.
I don't live anywhere near Tetbury so doubt I'll get to visit, so I'm looking forward to more pic's. I hope your little one's nose gets better soon. She looks like a brave soldier.
    Luv Sophie xxx

  4. Aww bless her its so hard when they have to go i felt the same way you did, My boys are 14 and 10 and im feeling upset at the thought of my youngest just going into his last year at primary school. Your hats are devine good luck with the shop im sure they will fly out the door ;-)) x

  5. I remember it was horrible when the last one went to school - I had nothing to do!
I'm off to Tetbury at the end of the month, I must see if I have time to seek out that shop!
    Julie xxxxxxx

  6. Your daughter looks so sweet with her big rucksac.

I remember my son scraping his nose like that (he had a cold at the time too so it was an utter mess!)
My daughter will increase from two to three sessions at pre-school this week - I'm just not ready to lose her for five days yet - that will happen in January - eek!

Good look with the vintage shop - looking forward to seeing the piccies x

  7. Hi Clare

What a fab shop. Must try to get to Tetbury before too long. Haven't managed it for probably 3 years now, which is NOT good!

M certainly looks 'set to go'. Hope she's settled in well now - and that you've got used to having your cappuccino to yourself!!!

  8. Top notch titfer's old girl!
Hugs for wee one...that's got to be worth a tea cake n coffee frothy for being so brave surely?! x;0)
